Flood of plastic in hospitals. Plastics have become indispensable, especially in the medical sector, due to their versatility, formability and low cost. However, there is no efficient cycle for these materials. The lack of sustainable plastics is identified as a critical gap that BIOVOX is consistently closing with medical grade bioplastics, among other things. We welcome Carmen Rommel, a member of the BIOVOX founding team, on this topic. As part of Bioball, BIOVOX has been implementing the PHA4Pack research project since the beginning of the year.
In this episode, we talk about how circular business models in the field of plastic use can reduce the environmental impact and how BIOVOX is pursuing the goal of closing the loop with bio-based instead of fossil-based materials.
We are delighted to be involved in innovative, imaginative and forward-looking projects as part of our Bioball innovation space and to support start-ups such as BIOVOX.
