BioBall vor Ort | Fraunhofer IWKS Alzenau

As part of our event series BioBall on-site, we invite you to visit the  Fraunhofer IWKS in Alzenau  .

The Fraunhofer Institute for Resource Recycling and Strategy IWKS conducts research on solutions for a sustainable, waste-free circular economy. The focus lies on the development of new materials, resource-efficient technologies, and effective recycling processes – all essential building blocks for a bio-based future.

During the event, the  BioBall project GlyPac  will also be presented. In this project, glycan-based binders for packaging materials are being developed. The already available technologies are being further optimized for cost and resource efficiency and tested in proven formulations of paints and coatings. The project offers a practical example of how regional food industry by-products can be transformed into new sustainable applications.
