BioBall vor Ort | Biowert

The second stop in our BioBall on-site event series takes you to the  Biowert biorefinery in Brensbach  in the Odenwald - a showcase project for the circular economy. The plant recycles 15,000 tons of grass from the region every year and produces virtually no waste. In addition to the bioplastic “AgriPlast”, the products also include grass fibres, green electricity and the fertilizer “AgriFer”.

In addition to the plant, you will also be introduced to the  BioBall project GrasToPlast  . In this project, Biowert and its project partners are researching how permanent grassland grass, which has a higher biodiversity than ryegrass, can be used to produce an impact-resistant grass fiber compound. With this new technology, the raw material base of the plant can be increased in the future and added value for biodiversity can be created.

We cordially invite you to visit the biorefinery in Brensbach, Odenwald on 07.05.2025 from 3-5 pm.
